Jeeps Ad Analysis

Decent Essays
+ Dumb ways to die is one of my favourites commercial. There was a lot of opinions about this ad. Some people were saying that it provokes people to commit suicide, some even played the game. Nevertheless it became viral and brought attention world-wide, even though it was made for Australia.

Usage of the same cartoonish persons creates synergetic effect.

+ Schusev State Museum of Architecture. Apperently I am bias, but graphic is amazing. And ad creates a storyline in mind.

+ Jeep - Earth Day. Jeeps are considered not the most environmentally safe car. So ad creates better picture for jeeps and general.

- Macdonalds fries ad does not look too appealing. I get the idea, but the same Dallas Farmers market ad looks much butter.

- Lego

Produced in 2007, Cadbury’s Gorilla Advert was a 90 second television and cinema advert, which formed a captivation centre piece for their new marketing campaign. Through the clever use of themes, stereotypes, SFX, style and the impacting use of visual elements, Cadbury have enticed the audience to first hand experience the “glass and a half full of joy.” The sustained use of unconventional methods flow nicely with the stereotypes and overall themes of the advertisement. Preceding the drum solo, the gorilla appears to be imposing and harsh towards the start.…

Although it might be hard to see at first, these two POM Wonderful advertisements are actually fairly similar. These two different advertisements actually use some of the same strategies to attract the reader's attention and get the consumer interested in their product even though they are of a different medium. The first advertisement uses a printed image that shows simple colors and a strong message to encourage people to buy their product because it gives them antioxidants; however, the second advertisement uses a powerful dragon made out of their “crazy healthy” juice to create the illusion that the juice is as powerful as a dragon, yet the advertisement still sends the same message and same audience but uses a different strategy. These two…

In the ‘dumb ways to die’ ad it is trying to inform their audience about what is to happen if you are not careful and safe around trains. However, in the ‘freeloaders’ ad I created it is trying to tell you want will happen if you do not tap on, and get caught. The ‘dumb ways to die’ ad is targeting all ages because, it is funny for younger audiences, and older audiences because it still informative. On the other hand, In the ‘freeloaders’ ad it is targeting all ages because it is informative and anyone that catches a bus/train or any public transport that needs to tap on or needs a myki will get a fine if they do not tap on or do not have a myki and get caught. The camel was questioning the office employees of what day it is. A female employee in the office replied to the camel that the day is “Hump day!” The camel was cheering hump day, because Wednesday is regarded as the middle of an average working week.…

    4. Advertisements from Marks and Spencer In comparison to John Lewis’ advertisements, which are based on humanitarianism, Marks and Spencer’s advertisements depict Christmas as a magical and fairytale-like season. According to Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, who is the executive director of marketing, these magical advertisements aim to represent a “moment to escape the realities of every day life” (Bousquet-Chavanne). Thus, rather than creating a sentimental advertisement that leaves a heavy thought, Marks and Spencer desires to capture the enchantment and joy during Christmas time by creating “fun and light-hearted” advertisements (Perring) such as ‘Follow the Fairies’ and ‘Christmas Fairytale’.…

Introduction This advertisement was part of a print campaign “Creativity Forgives Everything” created by an advertising agency for LEGO; the title of this advert is “Fridge” and it was released in February 2014. LEGO is an internationally-known toy manufacturing company that addresses a range of cultural target groups, but more specifically for a western audience; owing to this, the text of the advertisement is in English. The consumerist mindset that many people have today stems from a couple of different techniques put in place by corporations, the media, and consumers themselves. A major player though in the continuation of our consumer society is advertisements. Advertising can be found in magazines, movies, television, posters, on the radio, through communication with others, and in what is deemed important to have in societal life. Although there are a wide variety of places to find advertising, this essay will focus purely on advertisements found on television, better known as commercials. Within this broad range of commercials, the focus is narrowed even further to look at ones promoting mobile phone producers, Apple, Samsung, LG, and Microsoft.…
