Jedi believe in a force that connects everything in the universe. The best definition I have seen is in episode 8 of the StarWars movies when Luke explains it to Rey. There is also no mention of creation just the force. Jedi also believe that when we die we become one with the force no matter what you believe or how you lived your life. Christians on the other hand believe in a heaven and a hell. For those who reject Jesus and his gift and live a life for themselves go to hell. Those who accept Jesus get to live for eternity in the presence of God in heaven. Then there's the religions …show more content…
The way these religions were founded are also drastically different. Christianity's founding and its ancient history is written in the bible. It starts with Abraham in the Old Testament and the Jewish religion then in the New Testament Jesus comes and reveals himself to more than just the Jews allowing others to follow him, starting Christianity. Jediism is much more modern. While a Jedi will tell you that Jediism has been around since the beginning of time there is no real validity to that. The reason for this is that the religion was based on the Jedi in the StarWars movies, which drew its inspiration for the force and Jedi from other religions like Buddhism. Jediism first started to gain a larger following in 2001 and the first official church was founded in 2007 and is based mostly on the beliefs of the Jedi in those movies. Also the bible claims to be divinely inspired which is the complete opposite of Jediism which was founded by a man who said to have discovered it himself. This sort of thing as well as the hazy outline of the Jedi religion raises the question of what is the real reason so many people started to become

A little over two decades after his fall to the Dark Side, Anakin (as Darth Vader) eventually returns to the Light Side of the Force. I argue that his acceptance of Stoic values near the conclusion of Return of the Jedi allows him to redeem himself. Throughout the prequel trilogies, Anakin does show some hints of Stoic values, even though he consistently fails to uphold them and refuses to follow the Jedi Code. After he executes Count Dooku, he comments to Palpatine that he should not have killed him as it was against the Jedi way (Attack of the Clones). Anakin at least demonstrates an ability to adhere to the Code that he swore to uphold and a consciousness of his rule-breaking, which foreshadows his ability to convert later in his life.…
