Jediism a new religious movement especially based on a science fiction movie (Star Wars), it may sound hilarious or ridiculous to explored, but it’s still consider as a religion because they share a variety of other religious perspectives, like Taoism, Shinto, but Daoism and Buddhism are the main influence. After exploring this religion by searching for some essential substances that sustain any other religion like, how does ritual function within in it, how does the Jediism meet the definition of sacredness, and finally how does the sacred manifest itself within this new religion? These are the questions we will try to answer exploring this new religion (Jediism).

Let’s take a look at the origin of this new religion (Jedius).

Beside the sacred text book or sacred temple/church, it is interesting to know that they also have some sacred dates. Such as January 6th, which is Jedi knight masters day. On that day, they honor the master of the order and all those they consider to be past masters, such as past leaders of the world. They also have a remembrance of Alan Watts, the author of the book (part of the initiates training and profound influence on the teachings of the order. March 21st is also considered a day of importance because that is the day all Jedi vacation. This day celebrates the call to Jediism, a path of empathy. Also understanding peace and the spirit of the union, between all people and hope for cooperation around the world. One more date that is important to them is, May 25th. The first period where you separated from your old habit or way to become a knight. The second period is the liminal where they were in training, and finally the period of reintegration into the community, but as a knight in a new fashion. To get to a higher level like Jedi master, a person have to be a certain age and need to go to a process called “padawan”. The Jedi master can chose who they want to train, but they can only train one padawan at a time. In order to become a Jedi master the padawan have to spend roughly ten years in one-on-one training with a master. The jedi knights serve the jedi order by going on missions assigned by the jedi council. A jedi knight can become a jedi master, once he train a padawan to knighthood, as long as the Jedi council thought he was
