She has no idea when her family will be picked up and moved, or where they will end up, so she refrains from making any real friends since she could easily be packed up and leaving tomorrow. I believe since there aren’t defined rules in the household that Jean is accustomed, she loves being wild and playing without rules. She likes playing in the desert and looking at stars.
