Standing up in front of the whole class was like being in a room full of sharks. Ms. Pops insisted that maybe Rina would share with the class another time. Writing down the examples, little giggles and whispers started. After a student asked about her big curly hair, some kids started laughing. “Everybody can’t be perfect. Can they?” (Pai and Schryver) Rina did her best to ignore the whispers and giggles coming from behind her back. It was not easy but she would just pay them no mind and look at the clock or outside. Rina is a victim of bullying. Bullying is where one individual is teased at for having messy hair, wearing glasses, or just being the new kid in school. “Being different can bring jealousy from others which can lead to be bullied”.
