We have seen that in the tragedy of Othello jealousy is a motivator of vindictive circumstances that were placed by Iago. He then uses it against people resulting in the destruction of their own lives not caring about the people’s lives around him. Jealousy makes good minded people go mad which it then controls people into believing false narratives. This causes the characters to lose sight of what they truly love and believe in. Iago is a scheming evil antagonist whose motives are to destroy lives and kill for his own personal greed. He shows the readers and watchers of this amazing piece of work by Shakespeare to shame, yet as well makes them feel pitiful to him as the story precedes. We see that jealousy can bring out the worst in people
