Out of the major pricing strategies, JCPenny’s “Fair and Square” campaign was using a value-based strategy over a cost-based strategy. Within the value-based strategy that JCPenny’s was using, is the good-value pricing strategy that describes JCPenny’s new pricing strategy perfectly. By using the good-value pricing meant that JCPenny is now offering better combination of quality products and good service at a fair price.
