JCPenneys Social Group Analysis
Introduction
I going to be observing the 2nd floor associate at JCPenney Towne West. I 've worked there over 5 years and stared in the Home department and now am in Window. The observation took place in early March and it well consist of the following associates: Danna, Dena, Ciarra, Emily, Jon, and myself. The obviously, similarity we share is we are all employed in the same place, we have an egoism interactions, and intrinsic motivations towards each other. Since each person well help the others out if they ask for assists. It fun to be around that group, since it easy to talk and relate to each other. We are all in a similar age group, so it likely we group rather than with some of the older associates we …show more content…
It can happen to a person consciously and unconsciously, whenever they step out of their home and even within it (Book 143). I was never told to pull over for an ambulance, but when I perceive the other cars around me stopping I did too. Not only did I do what I observed everyone else doing and adapting to it; I conditioned a response for myself to move to the right most lane regardless if an ambulance lights are on or not. Though, it is often a similar experience for the 2nd floor group. Windows tends to get busy, or slow; during times when it 's slow and other associates are around it sometimes easy to fall into unproductiveness. During one shift of my observation it was slow in Windows, so Jon and I both started talking. Danna, Dena, and Ciarra (those who didn 't have a register, so they working all parts of the second floor) came over along with Emily short after. It was a group of Danna, Dena, Ciarra, Jon, Emily, and I all engaging in unproductive behavior; standing around and talking. Though each of us have either an instrumental or androgynous personality; Emily, the exception, who is the most expressive. We were all taking about an album I didn 't like as much; she agreed with me, but once Jon, Danna, and Ciarra chimed in and said it wasn 't that bad. She changed her answer from 'it was bad ' to 'it had some moments '. I believe it due to the fact she only has school and work, so her social engagements are limit, which escalates the drive to fit in, since there are limit number of areas to do
