Party Hard The book that I selected to read was thirteen reasons why, by the famous author Jay Asher. Next is the symbol I tracked was the party at the begging of my book it talks about the gathering but the audience does not know what happened exactly was going at that party. So what I think the symbol means I believe that this represents coalescence because parties are when people get together for the celebration of something or for someone. And maybe we would have talked. Seriously talked."-Clay, This is after the survey and Clay is reminiscing about how if he took it honestly he could have been hooked up with Hannah because Hannah did answer honestly. How we know this is because of the previous quote Hannah said " I found myself describing a certain someone at our school." so assuming that "someone" is Clay because we know she has a crush on him. Moving on this shows how if Clay did take it seriously maybe Hannah would still be alive and maybe she and he would have connected and talked even more than they did at the party. So what this proves that the get to gather does indeed make this the story what it is. Valentines day or the survey crafts the way the story will continue and how the story will unfold for example if Clay choose with honesty he would have had a chance to be on hannah bakers list and perhaps they would have became more than friends maybe she would still be
