Jason Kruse: A Short Story

On a bright, clear blue Saturday afternoon a 47-year-old postman, by the name of Jason Kruse, came into Mercy Hospital. He was telling us about this horrific persistent cough that he just could not get rid of. He’s a long-term smoker. Been smoking for the past 20-30 years. He thought it was normal considering that he was a smoker. We didn’t know what to do. This is the 3rd time he’s come in complaining about this cough. So we decided to do more tests. We got Mr. Kruse checked in and we took him to the X-ray lab.
