Had he really just said that? The words had slipped from Jarryd's mouth before he could stop them, and permeated the silence of the alleyway. In that moment, the location seemed to be a million miles away from the bar, from the street, from everything. His entire life. Amy existed, but only as a phantom in a parallel universe where what happened in the here and now and had no impact, and although an inner voice told him that he should stop, that it did have an impact, he swiftly brushed that aside. The woman beside was him young, gorgeous and possessed a body to die for, What sane man would want to ravish her?

Cannabis mingling with alcohol, in his dream-like state, the man shifted closer to Riley and tightened his grip around her, intuitively ready to brush the comment off as a drunken joke if she reacted negatively. However, in reality, he didn't expect her to, and that was one of the other things that had elicited his comment and aroused his desire. That this younger, intelligent and beautiful women appeared to be into him as much as he was her. With the remnants of the arguments with Amy driving his interntal motivations, and the effect that had also had on their recent sex-life, it was an ego boost he needed.
