Jar City Book Report

Improved Essays
For many readers, a book that grabs their attention is the first thing they look for. Jar City, written by Arnaldr Indridasson has what many readers look for. The author has done a great job of grabbing the reader 's attention by simply putting the crime on the first page. The book starts off with two things going at once that confuses you for a bit. But, it all connects as soon as you move along with the chapters. Not only the author used this technique to pull his readers, but also developed connections between each character in the book. The unrelated aspects of the story comes together when you move on in the chapter.
Not only the author has developed a connection between each character in his book, but he also builds a connection with the readers. Making connections between each character throughout the entire book is very important and a good way of keeping the readers on track. The author avoided putting unnecessary characters in his book that will appear once and will not be mentioned again. By doing this, not only is the book organized, but the readers have a better picture of the situation because the new characters that

It has almost everything that makes a book good attention catcher and interesting to read. It has the every ingredient it needs to make a perfect book. Personally, I think it is written very well to be turned into a movie which they also have done. The movie and the book are slightly different. One concept that makes it different is that movie says there was no rape and Orn’s mother chose to participate in the sex with Gretar, Ellidi and Holberg but the book addresses it as rape and not a personal decision to have sex with them. Not exactly sure if that supposed to be some kind of sign or just a mistake done by the producer. Other than that, they were both easy to read and entertaining to watch which sums up my overall opinion about the
