The film starts spencer, mary-louise parker, taissa farmiga, ving rhames, and james woods. It tells the true story of ex-convict James Burn. Spencer Rocco Lofranco is a Canadian actor. He made his film debut in the 2013 romantic comedy At Middleton as Conrad Hartman, and portrayed the lead role of James Burns in the 2014 crime drama Jamesy Boy. James starred alongside Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga, on may 17, 2013 he was released in a limited release and …show more content…
I give this movie 4 stars out of five because I really enjoyed the setting which was dark, also I enjoyed how the movie was set as real life and sends a message to the young kids out there the consequences of bad decisions. The thing that I didn't enjoy about the movie was how the movie begins with james in jail and at the end he ends up becoming a better person, It would been better if the director would have added something more unique: a twist or a dramatic ending. Another thing that I didn't enjoy about jamesy Boy was how James mom was too much of a goody goody, I would've enjoyed to see the mom be good at first but later becomes a drug addict. Jamesy Boy and Blood in and blood out are related in both movies the characters are teens who get into danger with prison,drugs, and gangs. I also loved how James would write poems although in the beginning he didn't think it was a big deal but later realized that poems saved his life as he would write them in prison to take his mind off things and not focus on the negatives that could get him into even more trouble.. My expectation for this movie was to see an action film that would show me the life in someones elses eyes. Which it went beyond what i expected as it went into detailed on how people struggle, fall, and get back up. Overall this movie was
