Jamestown vs Plymouth Jamestown was one of the first colonies that was founded. Jamestown is located in Virginia. John Smith was an English adventurer and soldier, he was also one of the founders of Jamestown. Plymouth was also an English colony and this was located in Massachusetts. William Bradford was an English Puritan. He migrated to the Plymouth Colony on the Mayflower. WIlliam Bradford later became the governor of the Plymouth Colony. Jamestown was founded by John Smith and one of the things he force was if you didn’t work, you didn’t get fed. All he cared about was making money and get rich. He did this by telling the workers the best thing to do is farm. If they didn’t listen to him they would of died of starvation. John

William Bradford gave everyone in Plymouth religious freedom. His idea was different from John Smith because he like helping each other. He had a great relationship with the Native Americans because when he got married he had a marriage fest. This was known as “The First Thanksgiving” which Indians joined and brought foods like deer and turkey. Bradford cared about his people and they notice this because he got re-elected ever since he got elected. They might look like they are different, but they had many similarities. One smilitary is that they are both from England. John Smith is from Lincolnshire, United Kingdom and William Bradford is from Austerfield, United Kingdom. They also had interactions with the Native Americans. The Indians had a fest with William Bradford which is now known as “The First Thanksgiving.” John Smith traded with Powhatan, the leader of the Powhatan Indians. He traded metal and manufacturing goods for food. Both of them did good for their colonies. The person that I will join will have to be William Bradford. Unlike John Smith he will not leave his colony and William Bradford cares about his people. All the people in his colony like him because he got re-elected since he got elected.
