In the year 1607 Englishmen hoping to find enormous amounts of riches arrived in the perilous New World. They landed in what is know Virginia and decided to name their settlement Jamestown after their king. Unfortunately the land were the Englishmen lived was a desolate swampy wilderness, which was full of snapping mosquitoes and croaking frogs.
