Is Orenthal James Simpson guilty of committing the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown? If you think they are, you agree with the 83 percent of white people and 57 percent of black people who believe OJ Simpson is guilty for the deaths of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman (Ross). Orenthal James “OJ” Simpson also known as the “The Juice” was a player in the NFL who played for the Buffalo Bills. Simpson was tried for the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and Ron Goldman, a friend of Nicole. Years later, Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping. In the original case, OJ Simpson was found not guilty with the help of several well known lawyers, the majority of the evidence stated that OJ Simpson was in fact guilty. On the …show more content…
The second piece of evidence was Simpson’s hair; the hair on Rob Goldman's shirt and hat found at the scene matches the hair of OJ Simpson. Fiber evidence shows the carpet fiber of Simpson’s Bronco was found on the glove at Bundy Drive. The most incriminating evidence of the trial is the blood evidence, with a total of six different samples showing proof that OJ Simpson murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. The first sample was bloody shoe prints that matched Simpson’s size 12 shoe that was found at Bundy near the bodies. The second piece of evidence was blood at Bundy that matched Simpson’s. The third piece of evidence was recent cuts on Simpson’s hand from an unknown object, and the fourth was blood in Simpson’s Bronco. The fifth sample was blood in Simpsons foyer and bedroom and finally Nicole Brown’s blood on a pair of socks in Simpson’s home. The piece of evidence that decided the fate of Orenthal James Simpson was the gloves found at the crime scene. The left-hand glove was found at Bundy, and the right-hand glove was found at Rockingham, both containing blood on the surface. A major problem in the case, and a massive advantage for the Defense Attorneys,was the fact that the evidence was not put into terms that the jury's could not understand. The evidence had no more use in the case because the jurors agreed that they would not be able to use this evidence due to them not understanding what it meant. In simpler terms, the evidence says that the socks with blood on them found in Simpson's house definitely contained Nicole Brown’s blood.The blood of Rob Goldman and Nicole Brown were also found in Simpson's Bronco. Another component was the fact that Simpson was an extremely popular football player that was beloved by many (“Forensics at the OJ Simpson Trial.”). The main reason Simpson was able to win was his “Dream Team”, which included Johnnie Cochran, Robert Kardashian, Robert Shapiro, F. Lee Bailey, and Alan Dershowitz
