Do you know all of the 45 presidents? More specifically the 11th president, James Polk. James was born on November 2, 1095, in Pineville ,NC. He died on June 15, 1849, in Nashville, TN. He was married to Sarah Childress Polk. He was one of three presidents that had no children. James did many things to help the United States, if you want to find out your reading the right thing. He was a very intelligent person. He ran for president on March 4, 1845. You guessed it he won! Through his presidency he did many things to help the U.S. such as he lead the nation into the Mexican-American war in 1846-1848.
