James E. Faust, an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as well as an American politician said, “Honesty is more than not lying. It is truth telling, truth speaking, truth living, and truth loving.” Truth is crucial because it is one of the elemental values that show your character and what sort morals you have. Native Americans understood that we should rely upon our inner truth to know which way to journey in life. Native Americans still understand that truth will come out one way or another and it is more honorable to be truthful the first time around. By gaining an understanding of life, we learn to see beyond the illusions into what is real for us, or the truth.
