The human genome project helped America progress faster and in modern day America regularly is involved with people and their health. The human genome project created the need for better machines and eventually led to them. Without these machines today we wouldn’t be so far in the field of science. The human genome project gave biologist more to think about and the tools to answer questions. It created an entire new approach to biology. Science is continually involved in our everyday lives and without the betterment that was done by Watson we wouldn’t have many things. The human genome project focuses on genetics that cause diseases. With studying into genetics we are now able to understand the pirblem fully and soon solve them. Soon cures to diseases such as cancer will be created. Furthermore the human genome project teaches scientists to reach for their dreams which is a large part of the American dream. to be able to work hard and be successful is the one defining trait of America. Science is now taken very seriously because of role it has in modern life. People tend to be against the human genome project as there are legal, ethical, and social issues.
