This artist was born April 29, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She would later become one of the most famous women to have been signed to Motown records. Furthermore, she would proceed to make some of the greatest duet classics. She sadly had a very difficult truncated life. At an early age she was raped in a school yard by three teenage boys. Her mother was put in an asylum for her mental disorder.
