Jamba Club, Founded by Kirk Perron opened its first site in San Luis Obispo, California, in April 1990. In 1995 the company changed its name to Jamba Juice to provide a point of differentiation as competitors began offering similar healthy juices and smoothies in the marketplace. Jamba Juice offers products such as: smoothies, juices, baked goods, healthy snacks, boosts, and shots. Under the supervision of James White in 2011 he worked to eliminate short-term debt, innovate and expand the menu, and change the business model by refranchising stores, growing internationally, and commercializing product lines. In 2007, Jamba Juice decided to acquire more franchise stores instead of company own stores in effort to gain control of the growth direction.
