Jamaica Plain Interview Questions

When interviewing community health nurse Stephanie Dimock regarding interventions for Jamaica Plain, three major questions were asked: What do you believe Jamaica Plain needs in regards to hospice? How can Caregroup better impact our community? What is cultural competency to you? (Dimock, n.d.). She stated that regarding hospice “Jamaica Plain needs understanding, care, and cultural competent nurses. It needs more specific outreach programs for hospice, on the same level programs for blood pressure detection and education”. Regarding, how Caregroup can better impact the neighborhood, she stated “…with increase presence and information sessions in different community health centers, hospice can reach more families”. Programs such as Multicultural AIDS Coalition (MAC) provides Jamaica Plain’s community of color with culturally focused prevention and education surrounding health.
