J is for Jamaica

I remember that morning at two A.M. on April 13. We were going to Jamaica for my brothers wedding. My brother, Dad, Mom, my moms best friend Cammi, and I were all running around the house making sure we had everything packed and ready to go. When we got to the airport we were all filled with excitement. We went up to a machine to check our passports and on the screen it said that we were too late to check in and my mom started crying. We eventually got on the plane and on the plane was my brothers friend that was going to Jamaica too. It was a five hour flight. When we were about 1 hour from landing the stewardess on the plane came around with pieces of paper. The paper had questions on it I Don't know

My mom and I had to go and get our hair done by the hair stylist at the resort. I was really upset because everyone who wasn't getting ready, got to go parasailing. After we were all ready to go all the girls went up to my brother's future wife's room because they had a big suite. We were all eating little snacks, talking, and making sure that Eyja was all ready to go. Right before we had to go downstairs to line up to walk down the aisle, I gave Eyja a bracelet that was matching with mine that said sisters on it. It was time, I walked down the aisle first with my grandma and grandpa. The wedding was on the beach and it was such a beautiful day outside. After we all walked down the aisle we were waiting for Eyja to walk and when Jacob my brother saw Eyja for the first time in her dress he started tearing up. The ceremony was a little bit different than american weddings. They signed the marriage licence before they kissed. Once they kissed everyone started clapping and yelling and it was a really emotional and exciting moment. I looked over to see my mom and she was crying. It started raining right before they kissed so right after we all followed them under gazebo and the people who work at the resort handed everyone a glass of champagne to celebrate a big …show more content…
I was a little scared to go on the cruise because I have never been in the middle of the ocean before so i didn't know if i would get seasick. When we got to the cruise there was only one other party on there and it was small so we had the whole boat to our self. The boat had like a rope that you could sit on that was tied to the boat right underneath it was the ocean. We went to a bay area with reefs, coral and sea creatures. We went snorkeling and my brother had to hold me up because every time a wave came the water would run right over my snorkel tube and I would swallow a whole bunch of sea water. We were about to get back on the boat to go to margaritaville then someone from the other party threw up all over the boat. So we had to wait a little longer in the water so that they could clean it up. As we were waiting I screamed because i saw something really big in the water and i didn't know what it was. Everyone looked down and it was a stingray just swimming in the ocean. We then got back on the boat and headed toward margaritaville. When we got to margaritaville we walked up these long stairs and once you got up the stairs there was a big Jimmy Buffet bar and gift shop and stage for live music. There was this huge slide that slid into the ocean then u could swim up to these blow up rock walls that u could climb up and then jump off of. There was a whole bunch of blow ups that were really fun. My brother kept doing

Imperialism is when a country extends its power over another country. Several smaller countries have been subjected to this as larger countries take over their country. The dominant country slowly removes original culture of the indigenous people who live in the country and replace it with their culture.
