Just as Lee departed from Dio, the world-famous bassist Dana Strum suggested Jake E. Lee as substitute for the lately deceased Randy Rhoads to Ozzy Osbourne.
Due to Lee’s creativity in technique, Ozzy settled for him regardless of having at first picked George Lynch.
Lee had Osbourne’s back through the drug abuse issues and his post-recovery tour until he was unjustly fired by Sharon Osbourne –Osbourne’s wife- with no clue at the approaching exit.
Taken aback but still unbeatable, Jake E. Lee went ahead and formed his own blues motivated hard rock band Badlands alongside the vocalist Ray Gillen back in 1988. Though Badlands was short lived, Jake E. Lee continued making waves in the music industry.
Even when he wanted to maintain a low profile –amid the 1990’s and 2000’s- he still came out on musical tributes to Queen, Metallica, Rush, AC/DC and others.
There are extremely few guitarists who can brag to possess the depth of experience found in Jake E. Lee – a man who has been selected to be their main choice by prominent musicians and producers.
His devotion to the art of playing guitar is beyond his wish to be commercially victorious. If there is one name that comes to our minds when we think of The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame -it is that of Jake E.

Music artists were starting to combine different elements of country, western, and rhythm and blues (R&B) to create what would eventually evolve into rock and roll. Of these earliest artists, Bill Haley and His Comets would rise to popularity and become known as (if not, one of) the Father(s) of rock and roll. Haley was not the creator of rock and roll, but he was the one that changed rock and roll from a “ ‘virtually an underground movement, something kids listened to on the sly,’ wrote journalist Alex Frazer-Harrison. ‘This changed after ‘Rock Around the Clock.’…
