Jail Cell Narrative

It was another cold day in my jail cell, I have to get out I thought to myself, I knew that I was insane a force not to mess with but I still wanted to get out to show the world that without me there is no chaos, no excitement even if I killed people I killed them for a good reason they deserved to die for being the people they are for telling people they are worthless, telling people they don't belong in their companies, that is the part that no one understood is that the deserved to die. I started to talk to the police officer outside my jail cell I wanted to try to maybe persuade her to let me go, persuade her to try to think the way I think.

I decided that this was not chore, that I wanted to get out now. I then spoke with a little bit of hesitation, “ What about now.”
You could see her eyes go wide for a second, then went back to being normal, “ Why now.”
“ You have your reasons for letting this happen,” I started to speak, “ that means that now is the perfect time.”
I ended that sentence feeling a part of my mom that almost made me cry, but I stayed blanked faced and looking right in her eyes. She started to speak, stopping for a moment, then continuing “ That true, I do have my reasons and that why I realize you are

In the first essay of Jail to Yale, the writer discusses if prisoners should be able to utilize Pell Grant. This essay is definitely not on the side of allowing inmates receive these benefits. I disagree with the writer. The writer refers to these individuals as an, “inmate or prisoner.” Maybe the writer should be informed that they are people, human beings: family, friends, children and wives.…

Riley perched herself on the edge of the cabin bed, absentmindedly following routine and pulling on her combat boots, thick and heavy, ready for fighting. Moonlight was seeping through the gaps in the blacked out windows; there was a gentle spring breeze making its way through the log cabin walls. She was small for her age of 14 but she had strength and speed on her side. Riley could hear the other campers singing around the campfire and the subtle smells of burnt sugar from the marshmallows being roasted outside.…

The fictional representations of prison produced are a reflection of society. Prison films date back to the 1930s during the Great Depression, an era where countries all over the world dealt with the aftermath of the stock market crash. These films reflected the slump of the 1930s in America: the innocent living in fear “clearly [reflected] the despair of the nation faced with incomprehensible social and economic upheaval, [and] the cells, bars, and chains” are symbols to portray “the sense of frustration and restriction in a land of lost opportunity” (Mason 198). Later, in prison media, the popular motif of prison breaks begins to surface—and parallel reality.…

It was my first instinct, a reflex, like a knee-jerk reaction; without even thinking about it, I threw Yukine as far as I could away from me, hoping that it would be far enough. I could hear him screaming at me because of this, but I could not let him actually die for me. I looked up to see Kiun, the thunder blade, charging down at me. Takemikazuchi stood in front of me, getting ready to swing his sword to finish me off. I clenched my eyes shut, both in anticipation of the wait and because of the pain Yukine was causing me from his screaming and crying.…
