Jaid is an interesting little guy. I feel like he is in the serious and shy type. He does not smile about everything, but he is always happy. Most of the time he is more in the serious side. He looks like analyzed everything and he does not take everything for granted. I observed his eyes and he got this deep look. He is like always thinking about his next step. For instance, this past Sunday he was particular extra happy, I asked him the reason that he is so happy. He started to talk to me like there is no tomorrow. He started to talk about a pantomima that he viewed during the week at school. Jaid expressed joy while telling the story of how the pantomime was develop. He moved his arms and made sounds like he was in the actual pantomime. …show more content…
It is usually candy. I called Jaid a petty tyrant. It is like a learned behavior from school, because he did not learn it from home. He understands very well when and how to ask for things and even better he knows when to act up. For example, when he is in my house he likes to use my bookmarks, stickies notes and markers. However, he is extra messy. Mom does not like it because he makes a lot of mess. I called it been a mother. Mom just called Jaid’s attention and tell him to fix the mess that he is doing at the desk. Obviously Jaid pretended that he did not listen, Jaid’s mother raised her voice, them he just started to cry. He ran to me and hugged me from protection. I just strongly spoke to him and told him that he can write and draw but he needs to put everything back and listens to his mother. He just looked at me with those big eyes that you can not say him no to anything. He went to his mother and gave her a hugged for a sign of peace.

What if you looked at the story from a different perspective, and found out the bad girl was not actually that bad? Recently, in my ELA class we read a fictional story, Rikki Tikki Tavi, written by Rudyard Kipling. In this story a mongoose named Rikki Tikki Tavi defends a family in Colonial India, from a family of snakes, Nag, Nagaina, and their eggs, living in the bungalow garden. The story describes Nagaina as the antagonist, based on the different lengths she goes to, to protect her family. She is pictured as the enemy because of her character traits, sly, vicious and devious, but in actuality she is just trying to protect her family and eggs.…

Kenji’s relationship with his father demonstrated a dramatically different atmosphere and bond in the family, which made Kenji a more mature and less aggressive person than Ichiro was in his character development. For instance, when Kenji went to visit his father, his father thought to himself that in the beginning, he did not care about the U.S. when he first came to this country, but this country “suddenly begun to become a part of him because it was a part of his children” (Okada 120). Kenji’s family shared very similar situation as Ichiro’s family, yet the parent-child relationship was drastically different from Ichiro’s. Sigrid Undset’s novel, Kristin Lavransdatter, features several strong female characters navigating life and society in fourteenth-century Norway: Kristin Lavransdatter, Fru Aashild, and Ragnfrid. Of these three women, the strongest among them is Fru Aashild. Her intelligence, disregard for societal pressures and success in life support this claim. Fru Aashild, a woman who once lived in seclusion from her community, is welcomed with open arms when she aids in the recovery of Kristin’s younger sister, Ulvhild, after an accident.
