Jaguars are the largest species in America. And are the third largest species in America. They are found in south and central america. Their environment or where they usually are in heavily wooded savannas. Near warm water and low lands. They prefer wet lowlands swampy lowlands and tropical lowlands. They can also be found in shrubby places or small caves. They like living in a wet environment like near lakes or rainforests. Jaguars are carnivores. Which means they eat meat like any other large cat. They can eat fish frogs, and eggs too. They can basically eat whatever they can catch. Unlike other cats they don’t avoid water. So they can catch frogs and fish.

Not just black jaguars but regular jaguars. Some black jaguars have a golden red tan. A black coat with red tanned spots. Or just a plain black coat. Baby jaguars are called cubs. And like any other cub they are born with their eyelids shut.They are also death when born. They grow up with their mothers and learn everything from her. Around their six months their mother will help them hunt.As they grow at the age of 2 years they will leave their mother. From all the experience they learned from their mother they go on and leave Jaguars are the third largest living animal in the world and the largest in america. They are very large cats. Their height can go up to from 2.1 to 2.5 feet. They are also very long felines. Their length can go from 3.9 to 6.4. They can also live for long times. They have the lifespan of 12 to 15 years. They are known for the prey they eat. Even tho they have a large variety of food. Jaguars are carnivores. They are also known for their slick black coat. Or golden yellow with white and black spots.
