Jaguar Paw Research Paper

There is a tribe of people in the jungle that get raided by another tribe. One of the main characters hid his wife and child in a deep hole where the enemy tribe couldn’t find them and capture them. The main character Jaguar Paw had to watch his father die, and his father told him to not be afraid. The prisoners traveled to a mayan slave camp and some were sold as slaves. The men were going to be sacrifices for the mayan gods in hope that they would not have a disease in the city. Right when Jaguar Paw was about to be sacrificed a solar eclipse occurred and that made the people think that they didn’t have to sacrifice any more because the light shone once again and they took it as a sign that the gods were happy and they didn't have to sacrifice
