Jackson Reynolds had not always been a bad man, but after some considerable personal effort he most certainly had become one. Jackson was an imposing figure standing six feet two inches tall, topped with coal black straight rather slightly too long hair. His skin seemed perpetually tan and gave him somewhat of a Mediterranean look with his ice blue eyes. The kind of eyes that you couldn’t help but stare into, but the kind of eyes that sent a chill up your spine if you looked too long. This wasn’t the first time Jackson had stared down the long black barrel of a model 29 Smith and Wesson, it was, however, the first time he was looking into the business end and it seemed so very close even from five feet away. Well over six feet, but with blond hair and fair skin he seemed the negative image of the man who stood before him. The eyes, however, told another story and it seemed both men had been cut from the same cloth. “You’ve really pissed them off this time and I don’t see you talking yourself out of it with some bullshit excuse,” Patrick spoke while shaking his head left to right and his eyes watched Jackson from beneath scowling eyebrows shaped in a harsh Y shape. “What the hell were you thinking?” “What the hell was I thinking?” “Have you ever seen her?” For the first time, Jackson showed emotion as he spoke and it was a surprise. “Jesus, you should see her before you shake your head and wonder what I was thinking Pat.” “No thanks, Jackson, I’ve got enough temptation in my life already,” Pat replied. “Come on Pat, I’ll take you to her. Just you and me man, I’ll show you where I’ve got her locked up.” Jackson’s stare intensified looking at Patrick and searching for any sign of weakness or any opening in Pat’s guarded
