Jackson Pollock was born on January 28th,1912 ("Jackson Pollock.") He went to school at the Art Student League of New York City, studying under Hart Breton with his brother. His art was inspired by surrealism and native american art, as well as Picasso and Miro ("Jackson Pollock Biography (1912-1956) – Life of American Artist.") His most used paint style was called drip art ("Jackson Pollock Biography." ) In 1943 Pollock had his first solo exhibit ("Jackson Pollock Biography (1912-1956) – Life of American Artist.") Later on in 1943 he created his first wall size peace, called Mural. In 1945 Pollock got married to the painter Lee Krasner ("Jackson Pollock.") As his career got further, he stopped naming his paintings and instead gave them numbers
