Jackson College, formerly Jackson Community College or JCC, is a four year institution located in Jackson, Michigan. The college offers a vast variety of degrees, clubs, programs, low tuition and other activities. A student who is wishing to apply to this school will see that it is a highly rated choice and it’s not just for its low tuition cost. Students can go for a two year or four year degree in basically any field they wish to pursue. Jackson College can also grant students the chance to go for a basic skill set, concentration, or certificate if a degree doesn’t particularly suit them. There are two main areas were students can eat. The first is the Potter Center Cafeteria which offers something new every day and should be able to fulfill every students’ tastes. The price for food at the cafeteria is $8.50 and gives access to hot entrees, a salad bar, the chef’s station, sandwiches, made to order daily specials, desert, and a drink. There is a system known as the “E-Card” which is a faster way to go through the line since the card is prepaid by the student and can keep getting refilled with money. The second place that students can go to grab a bite is Wava Joe’s Coffee bar. This place, located inside the first floor of Atkinson Hall, offers Starbucks coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, pizza, salads, soups, scones, baked goods, and deli items. The average price remains between close to three and five dollars. The campus at Jackson College is very secure. It provides plenty of street lamps, security cameras, emergency call boxes and nightly patrols. One press on an emergency call box and the college security officers will be there in a heartbeat. In addition there isn’t much distance between the buildings on the campus, so no worries for those that have to cross over during the night. Statistics show as according to the 2013-2014 school year that Jackson College has one of the lowest crime ratings, meaning that most of the offenses that could possibly happen were given a
