First off, Jack had very little coping mechanisms in the face of harsh realities: a highly stressful job as a field worker at an insurance agency to which would have him see traumatic scenes, the job also required trips which could hinder social ability for coping mechanisms, has spoken of major family issues which indicated the family hadn’t supported him, and in general Jack’s ability to confront painful issues had become a major issue as well.
These issues first come into conflict with social psychology, to which may state support helps one be resilient to issues that confront one (Comer, ). The second conflict that could come to help create the disorder comes with the behavioral view, issues coming to rise when Jack had not gotten praised for behavior such as his accomplishments (i.e. going through college)
