Jack's challenging behavior comes from the lack of the self-regulation. Jack’s negative developmental characteristics that are linked to his self-regulation, such as he needs to learn the skills, stop and think and then act in order to control his anger. Jack shows his frustration and anger when he does not want to do something and does not want to follows the given direction. In addition, Jack use his anger as a tool to control the situation because he learned the inappropriate way of using his emotion as a tool. Jack needs the self-regulation which how to control his negative emotion and communication skills. Also, Jack needs the Authoritative style of guidance that gives him the positive reinforcement and teach him what is right and wrong.
