This article aims to improve the performance of Jack Wills via using the 4D Branding framework to analyse and compare among the Jack Wills, Hollister Co. and Clarks shoes.
Jack Wills is a preppy British brand which was launched in 1999 in Salcombe, Devon, designing British heritage-inspired goods for the university crowd. The brand and design strategy is using the finest quality materials, techniques and design to deliver distinctive connection between the old and new, epitomising what it is to be young and Fabulously British based on British history and culture to sporting and country pursuits (Jack Wills, 2015). In contrast to, the Hollister Co. products totally influenced by southern California beach theme which are comfortable and casual style. Their stores’ visual like LED display, dark in-store environment and the special smell to create a California atmosphere. Some stores even will hire the nearly naked man model to stand in front of the store to attract the customers. The Clarks shoes sourcing the raw materials and finding the perfect fit which discover the technology secret behind style with comfort (Clarks, 2015). People will choose the Jack Wills will feel happy because good quality and they are made in Britain, but a little overprice. The young people who want to look like British upper class and will go to public school also are satisfied to Jack Wills.
