Jack the Ripper is one of the world's most infamous criminals because he mutilated his victims’ bodies in an unusual manner, indicating that the killer had knowledge of human anatomy from August 7 to September 10 in 1888. He had killed at least 5 prostitutes which all took place within a mile of each other and involved the districts of Whitechapel, Spitalfields, Aldgate and the City of London—in London's East End in the autumn of 1888 was never apprehended. [2]Because of his act, the Whitechapel district in London’s East End was terrorized. Despite countless investigations, the brutal killer’s identity, name and motive is still unknown. The moniker "Jack the Ripper" originates from a letter written by someone who claimed to be the Whitechapel butcher that was disseminated in the media. [3]

Mary Ann Nichols, his first victim was killed on a Friday, August 31, 1888. Her mutilated body was found in Buck’s Row, a dark thoroughfare located jut behind the busy Whitechapel Road at 3:40 am. After 8 days, Anne Chapman was killed in the backyard of 29 Hanbury Street in Spitalfields.

First he killed Elizabeth Stride and her body was found in Dutfields Yard at 1am. 45 minutes later, Catherine Eddowes’s body was badly mutilated and was found in Mitre Square on the eastern fringe of the City of London. However, Jack The Ripper had left a bloodstained portion of Catherine’s apron in a doorway nearby and it suggests that Jack The Ripper had used it to wipe off the blood from his hands and knife. But in October 1888, no murders of Jack The Ripper happened as the night of the “double event” made it too risky to commit another crime. But on the 9th November 1888, the last victim of Jack The Ripper is Mary Jane Kelly whose body was found in her room. The skinned to the bone remains of Mary Kelly’s cadaver lay on the bed, whilst lumps of bloody flesh had been piled onto the bedside
