Well today i’m gonna tell yall about the story of the great Jack Stump. Jack Stump lives in the great mesa of Arizona, but it didn’t start out that way, oh not at all. Jack Stump was born into being a single child with one parent in 1803. He was born in Arizona on a desert. He was an abnormal child. They say he was born 30 pounds and 35 cm! A tragedy struck and his mother passed away and he didn't have family or friends and had to live on his own. His mother farmed as a living and he carved the pumpkins he grew. Just to clarify by the age of 16 he was already 9 ft 5, could you believe it? He continued carving pumpkins and got quite good at it. After pumpkin through pumpkin, he started to run out of space to put the pumpkins that he had carved out. He had ran out of room in his very small home and he continued carving. Outside of his house he started to pile up the pumpkins that he had nowhere to put. Jack Stump kept piling and piling his pumpkins. In one year's time, he had a pumpkin pile of 5000 pumpkins! As the pile grew, and he kept carving, his farmland started to expand as well. More pumpkins, more carvings. As time went by with more practice Jack Stump learned to carve not only faster, but more unique. He could carve perfect face shapes, beautiful animals, exotic plants and trees, only in the time it would take you to eat breakfast. I reckon he was the fastest carver of the whole, wide, west. When he couldn’t pile up the pumpkins anymore, he wasn’t tall enough, or had the energy to walk all the way around. He started the push the pumpkins together. The pumpkins would start to become one. After the pumpkins dried up they got smaller. He continued to push them together and after a while de decided he wanted a larger project, pumpkins carved in 20 seconds and 2 months to grow. His original idea was to make a pumpkin mountain of some sorts. Within a month it was completely finished, in any direction all you could see …show more content…
I come from Arizona for the carving contest.”

“Well you sure do seem like a great contestant, I see potential,i'm rooting for you, Jack Stump.”

The hours flew by as minutes, the contest would start soon. Once he got there he went inside to start. The contest was simple, just carve. You get one pumpkin,30 minutes, and the tools you brought. 3...2...1… (Gunshot)
Jack grabbed his silver dagger. Jack didn't know what to do but he decided to do what he knew by heart. His Mesa. Within 20 seconds his carving was finished. Everyone was shocked . Jack made small designs with the rest of the 30 minutes. Of course he won, he was the best. Everybody wasn't so happy to see that a folk that wasn't from their town had won.

Now i'm not gonna get into details with you about what happened but, I want you to know Jack Stump became the most popular in the whole west. And remember that carving he made? Well they re-created it. The Great Mesa. And if you were wondering why the name jack sounds so familiar while talking about pumpkins, he had the Jack-o-lantern named in memory of him, he sure did set himself
