The interceptor is classified as an HTA, or heavier-than-air craft. The whole class was preparing for the events hang time, accuracy, and distance. During the actual competition my plane didn’t perform as well as I hoped but it was also not as intricate as some of the other competitors planes. My plane did well in the accuracy category because it was designed to glide in the air in one stable direction with good accuracy. In the accuracy trail my plane proceeded to stay true to it’s design allowing me to throw it directly through the hoop, placing me first along with B. Culp. This in return cut down on the air resistance and allowed the planes to travel farther. The last event was hang time, where my placement was a disappointment for me. This was a disappointment because of the fact that I prided myself on building, What I thought, was a

Morrison: Rights for All Louisiana Congressman James Morrison, serving in the United States House of Representatives from 1943 to 1967, did not fit the mold of a Deep South white politician in the 20th century. A moderate on civil rights issues, rather than a typical staunch segregationist, he supported the important Voting Rights Act of 1965, which aimed to extend a voice to voiceless southern blacks.
