Some of Jack’s symptoms include supposed suicidal thoughts, depressive feelings, and feelings of negativity, especially towards himself. He also seems to disregard social norms, as he has a vivid tattoo of a naked woman on his chest, asked another patient if he could eat some of his food, while referring to the man as “old timer,” and even took his food when the man did not respond. Even when he was told by someone else that the man was sick and it was not ideal to eat his food, Jack become defensive and referred to this person as the “hall monitor.” When discussing his “pain,” Jack showed no visible signs of distress or despair. He was also fired for theft at work, and also jailed for this same behavior. When he was leaving, he unlocked the door that female doctor was in, as if planning to return. Jack also disobeyed the hospital rules, stole his doctor’s car, lied and said she let him borrow it, and was ultimately arrested for driving without a license, DWI, and failing to stop at a stop sign. Jack had a long history of stealing, starting at a young age, in which he was jailed and sent to reform school numerous times for. He also described one of his wives in a very offensive manner, although also admitting he only married her for the sex. He eventually went to live with this woman but left her when she expected that he start contributing to the finances, and his mother suspected he was just looking for a place to stay, deceiving the doctors and the hospital, while disregarding his mistreatment of others, and displaying no remorse or regret for this. He could not maintain relationships with women, and only quickly got in them to satisfy his impulsive urge for sex. These symptoms all describe antisocial personality disorder.
