Is there evidence of ethos in the text? Plot:
Setting: The setting of the text does seem fairly realistic; it is what I envision the behind-the-scenes aspect of a comedy TV show to look like.
Conflict:
Characters: Tina Fey had previous experience working for SNL as a head writer
Relate: Jack’s frustration with thinking he’s not capable of doing what he wants to do. I’ve experienced that too which makes it a little relatable
Moral standing: Pete seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He’s laid back but knows that shit has to get done
D. Is there evidence of pathos in the text? Emotional appeals text invokes: Humor What contributed to these emotional appeals: conflicts characters had, how hey reacted and tried to solve their problems. IE: that one girl thinking that she was going to lose her job so she tried to use her “sexuality” to keep her job and ended up sleeping with who she thought was Donaghy’s boss but wasn’t. Were the emotions believable: Realistic, would’ve reacted the same way probably. There were times that I laughed Persuasion: Its meant to be a comedy and it achideved its purpose because it was stupidly funny
