In the novel, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, A group of boys are left to fend for themselves on a deserted island. That is what makes him a better leader than Jack. In addition, Ralph is talking about the Beast and how he feels about It. ¨We've got to talk about the fear and decide there's nothing to it. I'm frightened myself sometimes; only, that's nonsense. Like bogies. Then, when we've decided, we can start again careful about things the fire and be happy.¨ (Golding 74).
