This paper will list the priority for the propose distribution plan for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) for 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. The JLTV will only replace one-third of the current Humvees fleet, which is 106. According to the Force Management System website (FMSWeb), the brigade has three different nomenclatures of Humvees totally 352, which only 46 Humvees are armored.
1st Priority – Cavalry Squadron The first distribution priority for the JLTV is the Cavalry Squadron, which has majority of the Armored Humvees in the brigade. The Reconnaissance (RECON) troop will be the first to sign for the new equipment; due to their primary mission is zone, area, and route recon. In addition, the RECON’s mission occurs
