Conspiracy Theories: The Assassination Of John F. Kennedy

Improved Essays
While there are many conspiracy theories about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy’s death and his assassin, I agree with the majority that Lee Harvey Oswald was indeed set up as a patsy to hide the real truth. The top three conspiracies which support this idea are the CIA theory, FBI/Secret Service theory, and the Soviet Union/Cuba theory. Even though all of the theories have different “why’s and how’s” to how the assassin came to be, they all share one common feature. Which is featuring Oswald as a patsy or in other words a scapegoat. Now think about it, in the CIA theory article, it showcases Oswald as a recruited CIA member during his involvement as a U.S. Marine and blames rouge CIA members as a cause for Kennedy’s death. Now, what if Oswald himself was a rogue CIA member? That …show more content…
Out of the three conspiracy theories that I thought were interesting, I honestly think that the FBI, CIA and Secret Service were in on the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The theory I based my personal on was off of the CIA theory, mainly because they had a reason to hate Kennedy and assassinate him than FBI or the Secret Service. The reason being that JFK didn’t allow the CIA to carry out the plan at Bay of Pigs by not providing air support and planned to cut the agency’s budget by 20%. So in order to assassinate Kennedy the CIA would have to “pick the perfect scapegoat” and who else would have been a better patsy than Lee Harvey Oswald? It would probably be likely that he was selected during his Marine work for the U.S. military and then sent to the USSR to apply for a citizenship to which he was denied and later returned to the U.S. After a while he also applied for a passage to Cuba a multiple number of times for which he was also denied for. And because of his attempts to get citizenship in a

For whom it may concern Nov 22, 1963 John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald many believe that he did not act alone. It dated the ‘king’ of all American conspiracies. I think Lee H. Oswald acted alone in the murder of J.F.K. Because all evidence points directly to Oswald, film- analyzed, and he was a crazy person. All evidence points directly to Oswald from the crime scene from the Texas School Box Depository Building 6th floor. The three shell casing, prints on the rifle, and his sharpshooting capabilities.…

Oswald actually fired three shots at JFK, but one of his shots missed whole the other two connected. Oswald was a former marine who defected to the Soviet Union in 1959. Initially, Oswald, was arrested for the murder of Officer Tippy, which happened about an hour after the assassination. It was later when he was accused of assassinating the president, but Oswald tried to deny it and claimed that he was just a patsy. However there was overwhelming evidence that he committed the crime.…

The believed assassin was Lee Harvey Oswald. Kennedy. Maybe our own government killed Kennedy to stop him from running their own plans. Like the CIA, after Kennedy learned of the true meaning of the " Bay of Pigs" he declared that he will cut the CIA into a million pieces and scatter the across the world. So maybe they felt threatened by Kennedy's action that they had to take care of him to insure their survival. And was Lyndon B. Johnson the person who had ordered the hit on Kennedy?…

Those theories are the LBJ theory, and the “Grassy Knoll” theory. Whether these theories hold any water or not, you be the judge, and without further ado, the arguments . This paragraph will give some reasons why LBJ might have been the one to plan out the assassination of president Kennedy. First of all, LBJ was always very power hungry. LBJ was always jealous of the fact that he became president and not him.…

That man was the 35th president of the United States of America, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. In the days that followed, through unsubstantial evidence, Lee Harvey Oswald would be convicted for this heinous crime, however, before he could have a chance to prove his innocence in a fair and just trial , he was shot and killed by a Dallas nightclub owner, Jack Ruby. After 52 years, conspiracist are reluctant to believe in the unsubstantial evidence provided by the Warren Commission that Oswald was the sole murderer of JFK, leading to the creation of…

On November 22, 1963 horrific news shocked the nation: President John F. Kennedy had been shot. However, the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald just an hour later settled some nerves, and more so, he was murdered by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner just two days later. The newly sworn in President, Lyndon B. Johnson, issued the Warren Commission, which concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald worked alone in murdering the President, however, the majority of Americans today do not believe that finding. Although some still do, evidence points to the conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the only person involved with the assassination of John F. Kennedy.…

To assassinate the most powerful individual in the world takes more than one person in my opinion. I don’t believe that the Cubans or the Soviets were involved, however the way Kennedy handled those issues could have played a role in his death. I think if not the actual assassination but the cover up was a work of the U.S Government/FBI/CIA. I think its beyond strange that the murder of such an important person was handled the way it was. Even though, many people including myself, find it extremely hard to comprehend and digest the fact that my government could have a hand in murdering their own president; it’s not uncommon.…

Along with the CIA and Cuba, the next most well known theory is that the Mafia and Bobby Kennedy with Jack Ruby had something to do with the killing of the 35th President of the United States. The basic understanding of why this might have happened actually has to do with the election. JFK told the Chicago Mafia that if they got people to vote for him he would leave them alone. This happened, but Bobby Kennedy really pushed to get rid of organized crime (Thomas 14-17). When this started to happen the Mafia was not happy because JFK had made a promise to them.…

The Kennedy Assassination There are many conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, (JFK). One of the most prominent, is that lone gunman and communist sympathizer Lee Harvey Oswald, on his own accord, took matters into his own hand and singlehandedly planned and executed the President of the United States of America. Another theory was that Oswald was a pawn in a deadly game of politics and mafia wars and was directed by the powers that be to kill JFK, and in an effort to prevent him from ever exposing the plot, he too was murdered in cold blood. Curiously, the theory that weighs in most heavily is that Lee Harvey Oswald was framed for the murder of JFK. Popular conspiracy theories claimed the “government” was behind it and the murder was in retaliation for a political upset, specifically, the Bay of Pigs conflict in Cuba (Polidoro, 2005).…

Another theory is the “Little Green Men” theory. This was introduced because JFK was supposedly showing to much interest in alien activity. There are two pieces of evidence that back this theory up. One if that JFK wrote a letter that demands he was able to look at secret ufo files, and another from a CIA official that say he cannot see classified information and material (The Week). Because of the disagreement between JFK and the CIA may have caused issues that the CIA were not pleased of.…

On Friday, November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was shot down in a motorcade on his way through Dealey Plaza. Through investigation and debate, the Warren Commission found that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin (Report of the Warren Commission On the Assassination of President Kennedy). “The committee believes, on the basis of the evidence available to it, that President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy”(“Top 10 JFK Assassination Quotes”). This final report done by the House Select Committee on Assassinations clearly contradicts the Warren Commission’s Report on the Kennedy Assassination which states that only a lone shooter killed JFK. Through careful research and examination, it is shown…
