From humble beginnings, JC Penny (JCP) has been a giant in the retail clothing chain. Just eight years ago, JCP stock hit a high of $82.16. At the time, it appeared that the reign of JCP as one of the giants in the clothing line chain has come to stay. However, JCP appeared to have lost this position in the current market situation. It has experienced a constant drop in its sales figures. The fact that JCP has changed its CEO three times in four years is indicative of its struggle to keep its head just above waters. While the current sales figures at JCP might not be at its best, however, JCP still has potentials of turning the situation around.
