he Hong Kong stock-exchange chief, Charles Li, was involved in controversial hiring efforts when he worked in J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. from 2003 to 2009, by helping children of Chinese officials and clients get jobs, according to emails written by him, which have surfaced due to a U.S. bribery investigation into the bank.
According to the WSJ, Criminal and civil investigations by U.S. and Hong Kong regulatory authorities are trying to identify whether J.P. Morgan has hired relatives and friends of government and corporate officials to win business in Asia.
Problems: Logically speaking, when a company hires, it should always assess applicability of the candidate, and how he or she will help to facilitate efficient operation and future growth
