On the cover you can see J Cole himself on the album with a tilted crown on his head with white eyes. His white eye is supposed to give off the feeling as if he had overdosed. Under his robe you see little kids, which at the bottom are taking different drugs and at the top are skeletons. Through the cover he is symbolizing that the king aka the rapper is promoting and overdosing on drugs, and that kids covered by the robe are kids that idolizes rappers and want to be like them, also start taking drugs and leads them to death. Along with symbolism, the KOD album cover uses warm and cold colors to help bring life to the cover. When you look at the cover, the background is full of warm lucid colors blended which gives the cover a sort of hazy feel. The use of red, yellow, and purple gives the cover a dreamlike feel.
