Ivana Jelenszky was born a twin in the small country that connects the Seas, Panama, on April 16 of 1997. Although she has lived her entire life in Panama, Ivana embraces her Cuban, Spanish and Hungarian roots. As Jelenszky grew up, she learned the truth about her family: World War I and Fidel Castro’s dictatorship led her family to encounter atrocious situations. As a result of understanding her family’s story and living in a third world country, Ivana decided at the young age of twelve that she was going to change the world. That was the year Ivana felt in love with volunteering and helping others.
