Iu Bloomington Objective

Entering IU Bloomington as an undergraduate freshman would enable me to begin my journey in trying everything I’ve ever wanted to do; learning how to play the violin, and becoming a virtuoso in the piano and the guitar. With the skills I will develop at IU Bloomington, I would love to be able to pursue a musical career in composing music, or being a singer/ songwriter. Besides music, however, I would like to try my luck at being an actor, improve my acting skills, my singing ability, and possibly become an actor for film/ television, and/ or becoming a broadway singer. Furthermore, I would like to span my wings and dive into pursuing a career in writing, astronomy/ astrophysics, and becoming either a surgeon or veterinarian.

Actually, I am still in the most challenging academic course I have taken to date, AP United States History (APUSH). APUSH has been difficult for me due to the fact that I had very little knowledge of US history preceding my enrollment in the class. Furthermore, prior to this class I had never really had to study extensively to maintain high marks. APUSH has been different. Having little knowledge of this material, I have had to spend much more time studying.…

Although our problem is about colleges, we don’t want students to be confused on what to do in life after college. We would get freshmen and sophomores focused on careers so as juniors they can find a college to match their career. Students would use the information we give them to fill out a worksheet for both careers and colleges to save for later use. We recognized that some students may not be interested in doing this so we decided to schedule an assembly in February where current seniors and former alumni give their experiences, stories, and regrets while preparing and applying to college. We are hoping that this will encourage students to do the worksheets and dedicate more time to preparing for…

What is an artist? The definition of an artist is different to everyone. To some, the word artist is taken as its literal meaning: someone who, quite simply, practices a creative profession. Others see it as a person who uses their creative energy and unleashes it for others to enjoy. To me, the true artist is someone who is able to control their creativity and use it to contribute to the greater good.…

As someone once said, students cannot expect their ways to completely change once they get to college. All of what we have done up until now has set the path for our future educational choices. Some of the goals I plan to achieve while at college are to swim for the Wilkes University Swim Team, receive a master’s degree while majoring in Biology, and become certified in Secondary Education. I include these plans along with others into my future legacy since they are still part of the unknown. I hope to be very impacting on all aspects of my college experiences along with my future employment.…

As actors, we must come to the realization that we are not in a stable career field. With that being said, it is in our best interest to have a backup plan of other possibilities in the arts so that we do not find ourselves wailing in the idea that we went to college for nothing. I am studying theatre in the performance aspect, concentrating in acting. I am actually leaning more towards the entertainment field rather than the artistic field, which does not require any sort of theatre education on a collegiate level, however I am here because while I want to be a screen actress, I do love theatre and I need the education in case I fail in my hopes and dreams. If that unfortunate occurrence comes true, my “Plan B” is to either be a director or a playwright.…

There was a time when I doubted myself because I was unsure of the future, questioning whether I want to be a film director or a sound designer.
