2. I will then either gather them on the carpet or line them up to go to the activity room, depending on the designated day.
3. Once we are in our designated destination, I will sing the song make a circle to get everyone to sit on their own rug. I will then ask the children if they know the song itsy bitsy spider and if they can help me sing and act out the song. This is when I will start to sing the song “itsy bitsy spider” while doing the actions.
4. Once the song is over I will talk about how important it is to never give up just like the spider. I will then introduce them to the spider web game. I will give a brief explanation on how to play and then talk about trying over and over again and using different coping skills to help relax when something is difficult.

Once each child has their spider I will tell them to hold it in their hand so it does not escape. I will then introduce the next activity “spider racing”. Before we start the spider game I will ask everyone to stand up and wiggle their fingers like spider then wiggle their toes then wiggle their whole body to get the silly’s out.
6. Once everyone is back on their carpet I will hand out straws to each child. We will start off with a deep breathing exercise and blowing through the straw mimicking self-coping strategies. Once that is done I will take out the racing box and explain to the child the rules of the
