People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has documented that "each year, more than 100 million animals are treated cruel within the laboratories of animal testing (Peta, par 1)." Performing research on animals should be illegal because it is unethical to sentence animals to life in a laboratory cage and intentionally cause them harm. Animals who are caged continuously without any freedom should be considered animal cruelty. Many researchers should also understand that animal testing does not always accurately predict results in humans. Animals are different from humans and that can bring about poor testing results. Research that involves testing animals should be banned and limited.
One of the reasons that animal research should be illegal is because it causes various types of animal abuse. Animals involved in testing develop psychological issues. Animals used for testing have to endure living in confinement throughout their whole life in a laboratory. Animals being kept isolated from everything around them can also lead to depression and the developing of erratic types of behavior. The different types of erratic behaviors that animals develop from being kept in confinement are "incessantly spinning in circles, rocking back and forth, pulling out their own fur, and even biting themselves

It is uprightly wrong to induce pain into a living thing. People that buy products that have been animal tested should be considered advocates of animal cruelty. There are many ways to stop this animal cruelty that they called animal research. Instead of using animals for reliable test results, there are various types of alternative testing methods that can generate the same accurate testing results. Researchers need to focus on using alternative testing methods such as "vitro testing, micro dosing, and the use of artificial skin (ProCon par, 2)". It is time that animal research be banned and focus more on morally right research

Animal testing has been around since ancient times. Ancient greek and Romans tested different medical procedures on animals purely to satisfy curiosity. Because anaesthetics were not discovered until near the end of the nineteenth century, all of these experiments were tested on animals without pain relief. Anyone that has accidently stepped on their dog’s paw, knows that animals definitely feel pain. Back in the 1500’s there was an Anatomy and Physiology professor, named Andreas Vesalius.…

Medical progress rarely occurs without raising ethical issues. These issues are not limited to the use of emerging technologies or human subjects, but extend to the use of non-human animals in medical research. While there is growing concern about the use of animals in research, it seems that supporters and critics of animal rights have focused on the wrong question. That is, whether it is ethically justifiable to use animals as subjects in research if they experience human-like qualities such as pain. Instead of arguing for the affirmative or negative for this question, I focus my attention on whether the question matters.…

Why Animal Testing Should Be Banned Everyday innocent animals are being forced into labs and tested for human research advancement. Cruelty Free International states how approximately 115 million animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, dogs and monkeys are used in dangerous laboratory experiments every year. In fact, many of the experiments are said to be useless tests, as stated, “The reality is that the majority of animal experiments do not contribute to improving human health, and the value of the role that animal experimentation plays in most medical advances is questionable” (“Animal Testing is Bad Science”). Misconceptions by the media may stretch the idea how animal testing can cure diseases, illnesses etc.. But actually, as emphasized, animal testing is an inefficient way of finding medical advances, making the procedures to be unnecessary and making there be no reason to force animals into labs without a choice, it's blatantly a waste of animals lives.…
