What comes to mind when one thinks of fearless? One might think brave, bold, courageous, or maybe even heroic. The definition of “fearless” is the lack of fear, but the true definition is Adam Brown. Adam Brown was very brave, bold, courageous, and a hero in today’s eyes. He tested his limits and did the impossible. Adam’s dauntless acts were showed in a book written by Eric Blehm. This book is called Fearless, and it shows how Adam became the person he was. Adam Brown was among many things, but his true character matched the definition,”Fearless”.
Adam Brown was born in 1974, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was quite the popular one in high school. He was the nicest person, had good manners, and was a football player. Adam’s high school years seemed to be the only good thing for him. After high school, Adam went to college, and it turned him upside down. Adam started to drink and do drugs, which he had no interest in doing before. Adam soon quit college and became a complete disaster. The coercion of drugs and women took a toll on Adam. After a while, Adam had been hooked on heroin. His family would continuously try to help him, but Adam would turn around and do something to

One famous quote said by Adam was,” I am okay.” At the end of Adam’s life, he was injured during the fight in Afghanistan. After being hurt, Adam told all of his teammates that he was okay, which really wasn’t the truth. Moments after the injury, Adam Brown died. Fearlessness was demonstrated by Adam accepting what was coming towards him, good or bad. He risked his own life for his country, knowing the consequences, and this was his time to come through. March 17, 2010, was when this hero used himself as a shield for his teammates and country. Adam Brown demonstrated many acts of fearlessness, but saying he was okay in the time of death took a massive amount of courage that no one
